About Learning with Lindsay


I am an award-winning Human Biology and Biochemistry lecturer and unit convener at a prominent Sydney university with over 18 years of experience as a research scientist. I will bring an unparalleled wealth of knowledge and teaching experience to guide you in fostering a deep understanding of biological concepts. Having written more than $28 million in successful research, teaching, and industry science grants to date- I can also help you to significantly improve your writing skills for applications such as university admissions or scholarships and provide high level advice and recommendation letters to 1:1 tutoring clients.

I earned my PhD in 2013, specialising in the neurochemistry of the stress response, and have dedicated over a decade to lecturing in university-level Biology courses. Currently overseeing and mentoring over 1000 Biology students annually, I am fun and energetic and will provide you learning that combines academic rigor with a genuine passion for the subject. I will tailor learning to your needs and use a combination of revision/practice tests, digital learning tools, hands on science experiments and 1:1 mentoring from me.

I have received various awards for science education, research, and outreach, along with invitations as a distinguished guest teacher at prestigious National Science Week events. My teaching credentials are specialised in the most up to date and effective learning design and teaching practices, which are sure to get you excited about learning and remembering Biology concepts.
